DIAMOND BAR (CBSLA.com) — A young man remained hospitalized in serious condition Thursday after being struck by a vehicle in Diamond Bar.

The collision occurred just before midnight Wednesday near the intersection of Diamond Bar and Grand boulevards, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said the victim — who is believed to be around 17 or 18-years-old — either carried or rode a skateboard when he was struck by a vehicle.

Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital where he was listed in serious condition.

It remains unclear if the driver of the vehicle stopped to provide aide to the victim.
