Riverside Coroner Identifies 9-Year-Old Perris Boy Fatally Shot By 14-Year-Old Brother
PERRIS (CBSLA.com) — Coroner's officials Wednesday released the name of a 9-year-old boy who was fatally shot Saturday by his 14-year-old brother.
Police are investigating the shooting as a tragic accident.

Ezequiel Melendez was pronounced dead at the scene, which occurred just after noon at a home in the 140 block of Metz Road, coroner's officials said.
The gun was in a box. One of the boys found it and began playing with it, CBS2's Tom Wait reported.
No other details about the circumstances leading up to the boy's death have been released.
