Castaic Elementary School Teacher Accused Of Inappropriately Touching Students

CASTAIC (CBSLA.com)  —  Detectives with the Los Angeles County Special Victims Bureau have announced the arrest of a Castaic Elementary School teacher for allegedly touching students inappropriately.

Officials said an investigation was launched last month into conduct involving 43-year-old Joshua Levine.

He is accused of inappropriately touching at least four females under the age of 10 inside his Castaic Elementary classroom.

Detectives said they interviewed students as well as employees of the school.

The alleged crimes took place between October 2014 through April 2015, according to a statement made by the LASD Information Bureau.

Results of the month-long investigation were submitted to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office who filed four counts of annoying/molesting a child against Levine.

The teacher was arrested Thursday afternoon by the Sheriff's Department and booked at Santa Clarita Valley Station. Levine is being held on bail of $80,000.
