Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 8)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — The upper level low responsible for the rainfall was directly overhead Friday morning.

The environment was unstable so expect the possibility of showers and thunderstorms throughout the middle of the day.

The low should shift east as throughout the day tapering off the chances for showers.

The sun will poke through from time to time, which will only help to create more of an unstable atmosphere.

There is the potential for lightning and thunder along with hail and sporadic downpours.

By Saturday, everything settles down.

There will still be some leftover clouds, but expect to see a bit of a warming trend into Mother's Day. Sunday looks great with temperatures in the mid 70s.
