At Least 2, Possibly 3 Shot In South LA

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Officials say at least two people have been shot in South Los Angeles.

Stu Mundel reporting in Sky9 said "it appears a third stretcher working its way into the shooting area."

He said "multiple shots have been reported with multiple people being hit."

The incident took place at 66th and Hoover around 10 p.m., authorities said.

LAPD arrived on scene in force.

An investigation into the shooting is continuing.

The conditions of the victims was not immediately clear. Police believe the shootings were likely gang-related.

Officials said all of the victims were shot in the legs.

The suspect is a black male adult who fled in an older white van.
