Fullerton Resident Critically Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 36-year-old Fullerton resident remains in critical condition days after a hit-and-run crash.

The Fullerton Police Department said in a written statement that officers received reports of a woman down in the roadway about 9:45 p.m. Friday.

When officers arrived to 1200 block of South Highland Avenue, they located a woman in the northbound lanes.

Police said she had sustained injuries consistent with a collision.

Police said the woman was taken to UCI Medical Center with critical injuries. She remained hospitalized Monday in critical condition.

"The vehicle striking the victim fled the scene of the accident," police said in the statement. "A witness to the collision reported seeing a dark colored sedan leaving the area; it is unknown if this vehicle was involved in the collision."
