Venice Merchants Meet Over Security Concerns Following Finger-Biting Incident

VENICE (CBSLA.com) — Security concerns in the city of Venice have prompted a meeting with merchants Monday.

They are considering hiring security guards to protect their property and local patrons.

There have also been problems with parking in the area.

Many are concerned about overall safety after one merchant's finger was recently bitten off by a homeless person.

The meeting will take place 6 p.m. Monday at the Westside Global Awareness Magnet School.
