CARSON (CBSLA.com) — A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the 405 Freeway in Carson on Saturday morning, authorities said.

The crash on the northbound 405 near the Avalon Boulevard exit involved a sedan and a pickup, according to the California Highway Patrol, and was reported just after 6 a.m. A SigAlert was issued, with the carpool lane and two left lanes closed, leaving only the right two lanes open.

The coroner’s office was called to the scene just after 6:30 a.m., according to City News Service.
