Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (March 16)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — After a toasty weekend, expect one more day of the heat wave. Temperatures will hover in the upper 80s and low 90s once again.

In fact if downtown Los Angeles gets up to 90 degrees, this would be the 4th consecutive day of 90-degree heat downtown (that's a record).

The high pressure and off-shore flow are still in place Monday but will start to break down in very short order for Tuesday.

In fact, look for a healthy 15-degree temperature drop for Tuesday and even more for Wednesday. By Wednesday night and Thursday there is the chance we could see a sprinkle in our local mountains as a cut off low develops over of the area.

Temperatures will drop down into the low 70s, which is where they should be for this time of year. After the intense heat though, 70 is going to feel downright cold.

By next weekend, there's some ridging again...and warmer weather.
