2 Men Charged In Burbank Home Invasion Robbery

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two 30-year-old men were charged Monday for stealing more than $1 million cash during a home invasion robbery in Burbank.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Siavash Razaghi, of Oak Park, and Travis Kennedy, of Newhall, each faced one felony count of home invasion robbery, first-degree residential burglary, and identity theft.

Kennedy was also charged with one felony count each of possession of a firearm by a felon with two priors, possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, possession for sale of a controlled substance and methamphetamine. Razaghi was additionally charged with one count of second-degree commercial robbery, the district attorney's office added.

Around 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2014, Razaghi and Kennedy allegedly knocked at the front door of a home located in the 1300 block of Paseo Redondo, and claimed to have a mail delivery.

When a female housekeeper answered the door, both men forced their way inside with a gun, tied the woman up, and put her inside a bathroom while they burglarized the home, police said.

In February, the homeowner offered a $50,000 reward for information that led the the arrest of Razaghi and Kennedy.

According to the district attorney's office, Razaghi was convicted of identity theft in 2014, while Kennedy was convicted of receiving stolen property with the intent to sell marijuana in 2012.

Kennedy plead not guilty to the charges on Friday, when the case was filed with the district attorney's office. Razaghi is scheduled to be arraigned in Burbank today.

According to prosecutors, bail should be set at $2 million for Razaghi, who faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in state prison if convicted as charged.

Kennedy faces a maximum sentence of 24 years and four months in state prison if also convicted as charge. Prosecutors recommended his bail be set at $275,000.

The case remains under investigation by the Burbank Police Department.
