MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — A two-mile stretch of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu was closed for several hours Friday afternoon as firefighters battled a brush fire nearby.

Flames were reported around 11:30 a.m. Friday in the 19400 block of PCH, near Tuna Canyon Park, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

The roadway was shut down from Topanga Canyon to Tuna Canyon, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said it reopened just before 2:30 p.m.

More than 100 firefighters were battling the blaze, which was 80 percent contained just after 3 p.m.
