Chino Hills Woman, 27, Accused In Residential Burglary Attempt

CHINO HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A 27-year-old Chino Hills woman is behind bars after being arrested on suspicion of being a residential burglar, police said.

Linda Bugarin reportedly gained entry into a Chino Hills home in the 4100 block of Lugo Avenue through an unlocked door around 2:15 p.m. Friday.

Once inside the residence, Bugarin began to ransack a sunroom in the south area of the residence while the homeowners were in the living room watching TV, police said.

After the homeowners heard an object fall, they walked to the room and found Bugarin in the process of burglarizing the home, police said.

The homeowner tackled the suspect and detained her while his wife called 911.

Deputies arrived and arrested Bugarin. During the investigation, deputies learned Bugarin was on active felony probation for burglary and possibly was under the influence of a controlled substance.

Bugarin was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a probation violation and booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
