2 Killed In Overnight Crash In Riverside

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were investigating a double fatal crash in Riverside County.

The accident took place around midnight on Alessandro Boulevard at Canyon Crest Drive, officials said.

According to witnesses, the female driver of a late model Scion coupe was traveling northbound on Alessandro Blvd. when she failed to stop at a red light and broadsided a Chrysler minivan traveling westbound on Canyon Crest Dr.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger in the Scion was transported to Riverside Community Hospital in serious condition.

Alessandro was expected to be closed between Communications Drive and Via Vista through the morning commute.
