IRWINDALE (CBSLA.com) — A 24-year-old Whittier man led police on a brief chase Sunday morning.
The suspect was reportedly passed out in his car around 4:20 a.m. at the intersection of Live Oak Avenue and Arrow Highway, Irwindale Police Sgt. Rudy Gatto said.READ MORE: Food Truck Crashes In Vernon; One Dead
After the suspect fled, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and misdemeanor evading this morning following a brief mile-long chase.

The man, identified as Whittier resident Carlos Chamale, was not injured.
He was arrested and the dark-colored 2015 Ford Mustang he was driving was impounded, Gatto said.
