Only On 2: Woman Gets $900 Worth Of Beauty Treatments And Skips Out On Burbank Salon

BURBANK (CBSLA.com)  —  A woman who called herself Ashley walked into the de Cielo Salon and Spa in Burbank saying she felt awful.

When all was said and done, it was the spa who felt bad.

Ashley said she needed spa treatments to make herself feel better. She told stylist Samantha Richards that she had an appointment, but she didn't.

KCAL9's Randy Paige reports the salon accommodated Ashley anyway.

"She was talking about how she was doing her engagement photos the next day and how she felt awful and she wanted to feel good for her pictures," Richards said.

Ashley stayed for more than six hours. The job totaled about $900. She had hair extensions removed, they colored her hair, put extensions back in, colored the rest of her hair.

Then it got really hairy.

"When it's time to check out," says Richards, "she just walked right out the door."

The whole incident was captured on security cameras from a variety of angles. Ashley walked out the front door and left in a white SUV with no license plates.

"The material is very expensive. Samantha does great work so, she got ripped off," spa owner Michael Villalobos said.

Paige reports that Burbank police are asking the public to help them find Ashley. If you have any idea who she is, police would like to hear from you at (818) 238-3260.
