Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 25)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Dry and nice Wednesday with daytime highs above average again.

We have a weak off-shore flow that will keep us sunny today.  However, by tomorrow look for the marine layer to return, along with some cooler temperatures.

Even with the cooler weather we should still remain above average for this time of year.

By Friday the on-shore flow strengthens and we set the stage for some rain this weekend.  An upper level low pressure system is traveling down the coast and will reach Southern California by Sunday.  However, we could see light showers ahead of the system.

Based on the path of this system, the timing for consistent rainfall would be overnight and through the day on Sunday.  The grand totals will depend on the exact track of the system.

Regardless, I'd keep boots and an umbrella handy from Friday night through Monday afternoon.  The low seems to be taking a similar path to last week's storm.

After this system pushes out, it looks like dry weather for a while.
