High Desert Teen Meets Lady Gaga Outside Tribute Concert For Stevie Wonder

VICTORVILLE (CBSLA.com) — Lady Gaga thrilled a Victorville teenager who briefly met the singer-songwriter outside of an all-star tribute for Stevie Wonder.

Joshua Speiginer of Victorville told CBS2's Crystal Cruz he's been inspired by some of Hollywood's hottest singers to make an impact creatively.

Now a senior in high school, Speiginer has a high school dance production that promotes anti-bullying.

He says he took a trip to Los Angeles hoping to make contact with some of the stars outside of the concert.

"I had my list of things to say," he recalls. "I was trying to talk to them about my anti-bullying production that I'm doing with all these people behind me."

It was then his idol, Lady Gaga, walked by and stopped to take a photo with him.

"What do you do? Do you say something? It's like the nerves were going," he said.

Lady Gaga not only stopped, Speiginer says she listened to him talk about his dance production.

"And she was like, 'That's great. That's an amazing thing that you're doing. Keep going at it,' " he said.

Within minutes of that conversation, Speiginer says show producer picked him out of a large crowd to watch the singer-songwriter perform.

"One thing happening with Gaga and then this other thing happening. 'Whoa, this is a lot going on.' It was really nice," he said.

Speiginer hopes his production gets noticed by Hollywood producers. Meanwhile, he told Cruz other schools officials in his area and some out-of-state have asked his group to perform for them.
