Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 6)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — The state is definitely split in half Friday with the northern neighbors getting pummeled while Los Angeles stays relatively dry.

A storm system is moving into California, and the band of rain will reach as far as Santa Barbara and maybe even Ventura, but Los Angeles will be left out of the party.

Expect clouds to fill in through the day and temperatures will remain well above average.

Saturday will be a little cooler, but still above the seasonal norms. Then we warm up for about 48 hours before another low pressure system drops into the area. This one will encourage some Santa Ana winds and cooler weather.

This system could bring some wrap around moisture Tuesday through Thursday.

For the time being, expect a decent weekend with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Daytime highs hovering in the upper 60s to mid 70s for Saturday and Sunday.
