Suit Alleging Breach-Of-Contract Filed Against Radio Host 'Big Boy,' Report Says

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Big Boy, a nationally syndicated radio personality, is reportedly being sued.

Citing a news release by Emmis Radio LLC, the All Access Music Group reported Tuesday that the media company filed a breach-of-contract claim against the morning host, whose real name is Kurt Alexander.

According to AllAccess.com, the suit alleges that Alexander, 45, plans to accept an offer from a radio station operated by iHeartMedia.

In so doing, the suit alleges Alexander hasn't honored a provision in his contract that would allow Emmis to match offers from competitors.

The suit claims Emmis matched the offer but Alexander opted to accept the iHeartMedia offer.

Alexander's contract with Emmis expires Feb. 28, the website reported.

The suit reportedly seeks both monetary damages, as well as preliminary and permanent injunctions to prevent Alexander from joining iHeartMedia.

CBSLA.com has not viewed the complaint, which was reportedly filed in the Central District.
