The sheriff’s department said it appeared Knight aimed his vehicle in the direction of the men following an argument with Sloan. Knight’s attorney, Jame Blatt, said that his client was being attacked by a group of men and merely trying to escape the scene when the accident occurred.

Blatt said he hopes to see video of the incident that he believes will clear his client.
