Report: Senior PR Exec From Politics, Show Business Dead At 41

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Variety is reporting that a senior publicist who worked in the worlds of politics and show business has died.

Elizabeth Kaltman, who most recently was a director of global communications for Walt Disney Studios,  lost a two-year battle with cancer Saturday.

Kaltman died at her home. She was 41.

Before starting with Disney in 2011, Kaltman was the vice president of communications for the Motion Picture Association of America.

Kaltman also held posts as communications director for LA City Councilwoman Wendy Gruel and press aide to former LA Mayor James Hahn.

According to her Facebook profile, Kaltman graduated from University High School in Los Angeles, attended UCLA and studied at Columbia University in New York.

She is survived by her husband and a young daughter.
