STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Back in the swing of the New Year — here is a Friday Forecast!

There's a few very light and very scattered showers streaming through the area Friday morning.

Over the weekend there will be three waves of energy moving through — the first today, the second Sunday and a third Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Expect to see some showers through the middle of the day on Sunday from wave two.

Wave three should be dry, but temperatures will be done from the record highs seen earlier this week. Things dry up and warm up after Monday as high pressure noses over into the Great Basin.
