NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A suspect is in custody after exchanging gunfire with police during an hours-long standoff in the Cahuenga Pass Monday.

Los Angeles police Capt. Stephen Carmona tells City News Service the suspect “produced a gun and basically committed an assault with a deadly weapon” against an “associate” the suspect was with the evening prior.

No one was injured in the exchange of gunfire, according to Capt. Carmona.
The suspect surrendered around 2 p.m.
