South Gate Cafe Celebrates Three Kings Day

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Chef Tamara Davis from Compañía de Café visited the KCAL9 studios Monday to show viewers how to make a Rosca for Dia De Los Reyes (Three Kings Day).

Compañía de Café is a Mexican-American-inspired café and community gathering place located in the city of San Fernando and the Azalea Shopping Center in the South Gate neighborhood.

Their menu features a selection of savory and sweet dishes—from traditional and updated takes on Mexican pastries and desserts to tortas, seasonal salads, empanadas and more.

To celebrate Dia de Reyes, the restaurant is offering a special Rosca de Reyes-inspired pastry item, some of which will contain a trinket, which is a tradition associated with the holiday. Guests who find the trinket can return on February 2 when the cafés will be celebrating Dia de la Candelaria to receive a special treat.
