LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Officials announced on Thursday that it’s possible that the first Los Angeles baby of 2015 was born in a hospital in the downtown area.

According to the California Hospital Medical Center, baby Delgado was born at 12:10 a.m.

He came into the world weighing six pounds and 11 ounces, and measured 18.75-inches long, authorities reported.

Hospital officials said the mother and baby are doing well.
