O.C. Officers Flown By JetBlue Airways To Honor Fallen NYPD Officer At Funeral Service
ORANGE COUNTY (CBSLA.com) — Police officers from Southern California were flown to New York on Saturday to honor a fallen NYPD officer that was ambushed and killed while on duty with his partner.
JetBlue Airways graciously offered free flights for up to two officers from each department, along the routes they serve, to attend the funeral services for the fallen officers in New York.
The Seal Beach Police Department thanked JetBlue members on Twitter by saying:

Funeral arrangements were held at the Christ Tabernacle Church in Glendale, N.Y., for Officer Rafael Ramos.
Vice President Joe Biden, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio were in attendance at the service this morning.
Biden confirmed about 25,000 officers gathered to pay their respects to Ramos, from the NYPD and other departments from all over the country.
On Dec. 20, Ramos and Wenjian Liu were killed in their patrol car on a Brooklyn street by shooter Ismaaiyl Brinsley, who later killed himself.
LAPD Chief Charlie Beck announced through twitter, just hours after hearing of the ambush killings, that officers would wear black bands on their badges in Los Angeles to mourn the fallen officers.
Funeral services for Liu are still pending.
