Stewart Leads Trojans Over Boston College, 75-71

BOSTON (CBSLA.com/AP) — Elijah Stewart scored 22 points and Nikola Jovanovic had 16 with nine rebounds on Sunday to help Southern California beat Boston College 75-71.

USC (7-4) won for the fifth time in six games, bouncing back from an overtime loss to Army last week. The Trojans had never played in Chestnut Hill before.

Stewart, who led the Trojans on the board, went 10-for-10.

Aaron Brown had 18 points for BC (6-4). Olivier Hanlan had 15 points and Dennis Clifford scored nine with nine rebounds for the Eagles, who had been unbeaten at home.

BC rallied in the final 22 seconds to cut a nine-point deficit to two points. But Katin Reinhardt made a pair of free throws with 11 seconds left and Hanlan missed a 3-pointer that could have cut it to one point.

The Trojans will host Vermont on Dec. 30, which will mark USC's end to non-conference games.
