Elderly Couple Reported Missing From O.C. Home

LAGUNA WOODS (CBSLA.com) — Deputies sought the public's help Saturday in locating an elderly couple reported missing from their home in Laguna Woods.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Carl and Theresa Tarantino were last known to be at their home around 8:00 a.m. Friday.

Deputies believe the couple drove away in their four door purple 1998 Honda Accord, with a California license plate number that reads: 5GMB136.

The couple does not own cell phones, and detectives do not have an idea as to where they may have headed.

Both Mr. & Mrs. Tarantino have varying degrees of cognitive issues, deputies explained.

Carl was last seen possibly wearing a green checkered shirt and green sweater.

Detectives said he is 83-years-old, stands 5-foot-4 tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has blue eyes and is bald.

No description of Theresa was provided.
