Man Suspected Of Dealing Heroin In Simi Valley, San Fernando Valley In Custody

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A 29-year-old man remained in custody Friday for allegedly dealing various drugs in Simi Valley and the San Fernando Valley.

According to the Simi Valley Police Department, Ezequiel Elizalde, of North Hollywood, was arrested Thursday when officers stopped him near Yosemite and Highway 118.

He was found in possession of two and a half ounces of heroin at the time of his arrest.

Detectives subsequently conducted a search warrant at his home, where an additional one and a half ounces of heroin, two and a half ounces of methamphetamine, six grams of cocaine, over $1,200 of suspected drug proceeds and other evidence of narcotics sales were located.

The street value of drugs sezied is estimated to be $15,000, authorities explained.

Officers explained his arrest marked the conclusion of the department's one month investigation into the sale of heroin in the area.

Elizalde is being held on $250,000 at the Ventura County Jail for possession and for sale of controlled substances.

He is expected to appear in Ventura Superior Court on Dec. 22.
