Buena Park Man Arrested In Fatal November Hit-And-Run
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Police arrested a Buena Park man Thursday in a November hit-and-run accident that killed a 44-year-old bicyclist.
Junior Rigoberto Lopez, 30, was being held on $50,000 bail.
He is accused of hitting Daniela Palacios, of Anaheim, with his truck while she rode her bike near the intersection of La Palma and Magnolia avenues on the night of Nov. 1, police said.
"Palacios was transported to a local trauma center and succumbed to her injuries shortly after 1:00 a.m. on November 2, 2014," Lt. Bob Dunn said.
Lopez fled the scene and remained at large until investigators identified help with the help of Orange County Crimestoppers.
Lopez's vehicle, a white 2013 Ford F-150 has been seized as evidence.
