Officials Again Issue Voluntary Evacuation Orders For Camarillo Springs

CAMARILLO (CBSLA.com) — Portions of Camarillo Springs will once again be under voluntary evacuation orders Tuesday as another winter storm rolls into Southern California.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain Tuesday through Wednesday morning that may trigger another debris flow.

The voluntary orders will go into effect at 3 p.m. and last through noon the following day.

"A voluntary evacuation order means the threat to lives is NOT YET IMMINENT however the potential for rapidly changing conditions to develop into a serious threat does exist. Residents are strongly advised to remain out of the area until the voluntary evacuation order is lifted and the threat has subsided," the Ventura County Office of Emergency Services said in a statement.

Increased police patrols will also be present during that time for impacted neighborhoods.

A mud and debris flow from last week's storm forced 10 homes to be red tagged with rocks and mud piled 10 feet high.
