1 Killed, 5 Injured In Lakeview Terrace Rollover Crash

LAKEVIEW TERRACE (CBSLA.com) — One person was killed and five others were injured Monday in a rollover crash between two cars on a bridge.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the accident occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the area of Foothill Boulevard and Foothill Place.

SKY9's Stu Mundel reported from overhead that firefighters attempted to remove the driver of an overturned truck; however, the victim succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

Further down the street, passengers in a picku, also involved in the crash were being transported to hospitals.

Mundel explained it looked as though the accident was a head-on collision between the vehicles that caused one to roll over.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Officials have closed Foothill Boulevard for the duration of the investigation.
