POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday were investigating an illegal marijuana grow discovered at a Pomona home.

Officers received a report of a possible grow around 10 p.m. Thursday at a residence in the 1100 block of W. Mission Boulevard.

“Upon arrival, the officers located a building with approximately 72 mature marijuana plans and 65 immature marijuana plants inside,” Corporal G. Sugiki said.

The home had been converted into a large-scale indoor growing operation equipped with a high intensity lights and an air filtration system, according to officials.

The suspects were not at the home at the time of the bust.
