Arrowhead Nurses Strike Over Wages
COLTON (CBSLA.com) — Hundreds of nurses at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and county clinics went on strike Tuesday morning over wages.
The nurses walked off the job at 7 a.m. over claims they make 30 percent less than nurses at private hospitals.
They will hold a noon rally outside Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, 400 N. Pepper Ave., in Colton.
The strike is expected to last two days.
Hospital officials have moved patients to other facilities and cancelled all elective surgeries.
