East LA Man, 30, Reported Missing In New York

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in New York are asking for the public's help in locating a 30-year-old tourist reported missing.

Steven Reynoso of East Los Angeles was reported missing on Nov. 25.

According to CBSLA.com-affiliate, CBS New York, Reynoso was on vacation with his girlfriend in New York at the time.

The New York City Police Department says Reynoso was last seen leaving the Renaissance Hotel at 714 7 Avenue.

He wore a black pea coat, black jeans, black tennis shoes and carrying a black bag, police said.

Reynoso is 5-foot-10 and weighs 260 pounds.

CBS2's Brittney Hopper said the missing man's family did not want to appear on camera.

"I can't go on camera," he said, "it might do more harm to my son."

The man's father told added, "My son is a good man and I just want him back."

Reynoso was last seen leaving the Renaissance Hotel in midtown Manhattan.

According to the New York Daily News, the girlfriend stayed in New York an additional three days but came home after she ran out of money. The paper also told his girlfriend that he was going to meet up with some friends.

Hopper said Reynoso has a Facebook page but he has not been active on social media since August.

Anyone with more information as to his whereabouts was asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at (800) 577-TIPS.
