Waves Continue Surge With 74-62 Win Of Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) -- Russell Attif scored 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and led four players in double figure scoring as Pepperdine posted a 74-62 win over Cal State Fullerton Saturday night.

The Waves (5-1), off to their best start through six games since 2004-05, fashioned a nine-point lead in the first half and maintained it through the second half.

Freshman Shawn Olden, coming off a season-high 17 points against Iowa, scored 13 points on 4-for-6 shooting, including 3 of 4 from three-point range. Attif was 6 of 11 from the field, including 2 of 5 from distance. Jeremy Major and Stacy Davis each contributed 10 points.

As a team Pepperdine was 25 of 56 (44.6 percent) and knocked down half of their 18 three-point attempts.

Alex Harris scored 26 points to lead CS Fullerton (3-6), with Moses Morgan and Steve McClellan each adding 12 points.
