NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) — Thomas Walkup and Jared Johnson each scored 16 points as Stephen F. Austin thrashed Long Beach State, 74-45 on Friday night.

The Lumberjacks limited Long Beach State to just 16 of 37 shooting from the field (43.2 percent) on the road. The 49ers were 0 for 8 from distance and shot 56.5 percent from the line (13 of 23).

Stephen F. Austin won the previous meeting with Long Beach State, 68-60 during the 2012-13 season. That game also was a BracketBusters pairing.

The Lumberjacks (5-3) shot 49.1 percent from the field in the win, connecting on 26 of 53 shots, including 8 of 21 from long-range, and were 14 of 20 from the free-throw line.

Branford Jones had 15 point off the bench for Long Beach State.
