Disneyland Gets Dressed Up For The Holidays

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — The Happiest Place on Earth is now the merriest place, too.

Visitors to Disneyland Friday were greeted by sparkling lights, poinsettias everywhere, oversized ornaments and Christmas-themed Mickey Mouse ears.

"This is our first time being here for Christmas and its really neat," Utah resident Liz Granados said. She and her family drove in from Utah to take in Disneyland during the holidays, but her son's favorite attraction only comes out at night.

"The fireworks, that the castle lights up, and all that, that's probably my favorite," 7-year-old Benjamin said.

And besides the decorations – everyone is singing, from the carolers on Main Street to the tour guide on the Jungle Cruise.

The stars of Disney's wintry blockbuster "Frozen" are in great demand this year, with the park offering a new sing-along show and Olaf's own snow fest.

"That is a huge snow play area, and inside the snow play area is where guests can meet Olaf and give him a nice warm hug, have some hot chocolate, watch their kids, play in the snow," Disney Show Director Sue Hamilton said.

The holidays at Disneyland will be celebrated through Jan. 6.
