Police: Women Arrested In Black Friday Fight Near Baby Section At OC Kohl's

TUSTIN (CBSLA.com) — Two Black Friday shoppers at a Tustin Kohl's department store were arrested on suspicion of assault early Friday morning, police said.

Police were called to the store in the 18100 block of Irvine Boulevard about 1 a.m. regarding a disturbance between customers near the store's baby section, said Tustin police Sgt. Ryan Coe.

All four people involved in the fight were women, said Coe.

Police arrived on the scene to find two victims on the second floor of the store and another two suspects on the first floor, according to Coe.

"It looks like they got into an argument. It occurred on the second floor and a physical altercation ensued," he said.

One victim was transported to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana with non-life-threatening injuries. The other victim suffered lacerations, Coe said.

Officers said one suspect was located inside the store, and two additional suspects had fled on foot. All three suspects were arrested without incident.

According to the Tustin Police Department, Samantha Rivera, 19, of Tustin, was booked into Orange County Jail.

The second suspect is a juvenile, and was released to parents with charges to be requested, authorities explained.

The third suspect was released pending further investigation.

The store opened for Black Friday at 6 p.m. on Thursday and will remain open through midnight Saturday, according to the Kohl's website.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact police at (714) 573-3257.
