OC DA: Former Teacher's Aide Accused Of Sex With Teenage Girl May Have More Victims

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — A former Orange Unified School District teacher's aide has been charged with having sex with a 15-year-old girl, and authorities said Friday there may be more victims.

Richard Nolan Green, 28, of Yorba Linda, is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 6 on charges of statutory rape, committing a lewd act on a child and oral copulation of a minor younger than 16.

Green is free after posting $100,000 bail on Oct. 27, according to court records. He made his first court appearance on Nov. 10.

Green, who had been working as a teacher's aide for troubled youth in the Orange Unified School District, allegedly began a sexual relationship with the teen in June. When the girl's parents learned of the relationship, they called the sheriff's department, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

The girl was not a student in the class where Green was teaching, prosecutors said.

If convicted as charged, Green faces up to four years and four months in prison.

Anyone with information about the case can call Supervising District Attorney Investigator Kelly Core at (714) 347-8794 or sheriff's investigator Ed Arredondo at (714) 647-7452.
