Get Party Pretty With Beauty Tips From Candace Corey

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — It is time to get party pretty for the holidays!

Make-up artist Candace Corey visited the KCAL9 studios Wednesday to share some beauty tips.

BODY
We are wearing more layers right now, but at a party those layers come off so be sure your skin look so start by avoiding hot showers which can be drying and use body scrubs, like Caress Evenly Gorgeous to remove dead skin cells or your body lotions won't work properly. Once out of the shower immediately apply body moisturizer that contain Vitamin E for antioxidants and Apricot Kernel oil, like the BeautiControl Nutri-Rich Moisturizing Body Satin, because it will mimic your body's natural oil.

HAIR
Try a simple yet stylish ponytail with volume or go all the way with a full hair of glamorous curls, just be sure to protect your hair first.Since the colder season can be very drying hair can be more fragile so use a hydration products that contains coconut, avocado and olive oil, like the Straight From Eden Detangling Leave-In Conditioner by Crème of Nature, to reduce frizz, moisturize and give you the added protection from the hot tools.

SKIN
Before thinking about makeup, always prep your skin or your skin can look muddy by party time. Start using a serum, like Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, right before your moisturizer to give your skin an extra boost of hydration. It will also improve dullness and loss of radiance, which can happen if you had a day of work before your party.

MAKEUP
Party makeup this year is more exotic and sultry. Colors are deep chocolate eye color and rich reds, like in the "Scotch On The Rocks" collection from Bobbi Brown. Having a simple eye at work that you can smoke up before the party is a great way to go from day-to-night, and if you're not sure how to do your makeup the Bobbi Brown counters are giving free Look of the Season makeup lesson so it's like having a free makeup artist.

FRAGRANCE
Your look is never complete without a fragrance. If you want to have an exotic scent use a cologne that's woody with metallic floral notes, like Rouge Bunny Rouge Arcadia. Either spray your scent in the air and walk through it or apply on pulse points like wrist and bend of knee.
