Police Searching For Man Who Allegedly Shot Girlfriend In NoHo Apartment
NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Monday were looking for a man who allegedly shot his girlfriend with a shot gun.
The shooting occurred around 2:45 a.m. following a fight at an apartment complex in the 1300 block Van Owen Street near Coldwater Canyon, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
"Upon arrival, they (officers) found a victim of shooting . . . with several shot gun wounds to the head," Capt. Steve Carmona said.
The suspect, believed to be a local gang member, fled the apartment on foot.
Van Owen Street, between Ethel and Fulton, was closed down as police focused their search in that area.
The woman was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. She was expected to survive.
The search for the suspect was called off late Monday morning.
