STUDIO CITY ( — A new holiday film takes a look at what it means to come home, face your past and rediscover your dreams.

“An Evergreen Christmas,” a musical tale recently released on Amazon, follows a woman who leaves a fast-paced life in Hollywood to return to her Tennessee hometown and attend her father’s unexpected funeral.

She arrives to find herself executor of an estate that owes a huge inheritance tax and soon find herself torn between pursuing her music career and saving her family’s legacy — a once-thriving Christmas tree farm.

Actress Charleene Closshey, who plays Evie Lee, visited KCAL9 Sunday to talk about the new film, which features a colorful cast including Robert Loggia, Tyler Ritter, Booboo Stewart and Naomi Judd.
