New Class Of Cadets Graduates From LA Police Academy
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Over two dozen officers graduated Friday from the Los Angeles Police Academy.
LAPD Chief Charlie Beck along with representatives from the LAPD Board of Commissioners and the Mayor's Office were on hand at LAPD Administration Building Plaza in downtown L.A. for the ceremony.
Out of the 26 graduates, 22 will be sworn for the LAPD, three will be sworn for Los Angeles World Airports police, and one will be sworn for the Los Angeles Port Police, according to LAPD officials.
Four females were among the 22 LAPD graduating officers who have completed 920 hours of training over a six-month course, officials said.
