Suge Knight, Katt Williams Accused Of Stealing Camera From Photographer

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Record producer Marion "Suge" Knight and comedian Katt Williams were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing a camera from a female photographer, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Williams, 43, whose first name is Micah, was arrested Wednesday morning after he arrived in an Inglewood court for arraignment in a separate assault case. Knight, 49, was also taken into custody Wednesday, in Las Vegas.

Officials say the two men stole the camera of an "independent celebrity photographer" on Sept. 5 outside a studio in Beverly Hills.

Knight and Williams have each been charged with one count of robbery. Prosecutors will ask bail to be set at $1 million for Knight and $75,000 for Williams, officials said.

If convicted, Knight, who has a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon, faces up to 30 years to life in state prison.

Williams faces up to seven years in prison.
