Water Main Bursts In La Brea
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A broken water main Sunday flooded several streets in La Brea.
According to the Department of Water and Power, water was reported running around 5:00 a.m. in the right lane of Fairfax Avenue between 3rd Street and Wilshire Avenue.
Officials are still trying to determine if an eight-inch, 40-inch, or 57-inch burst in the area.
It is unclear how much water has been lost and how many customers have been effected in this incident.
Police said traffic on 3rd Street will be affected, but it was unclear for how long.
