Former OC Coach, Teacher Sentenced To Prison For Having Sex With Female Student

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A former Spanish teacher and soccer coach at a Roman Catholic high school in San Juan Capistrano was sentenced Friday to prison for having sex with a 14-year-old student.

According to the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Ricardo Aldana, 40, was ordered to spend three years and four months in prison.

He faced seven felony counts of committing lewd acts on a child, the district attorney said.

Aldana was fired from JSerra Catholic High School in 2011, where he coached the boys soccer team until his arrest in December, authorities explained.

According to prosecutors, Aldana met the girl at JSerra when she was 13-years-old, and had sex with her in his Dana Point home while her mother was out of town.

He also massaged her in an inappropriate way when she was 14-years-old, and kept in communication through text messages and phone calls.

According to the district attorney, the judge also said Aldana will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
