Glendora Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Of Man Near 210 Freeway

GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday were conducting a murder investigation near the Foothill (210) Freeway in Glendora.

A citizen contacted authorities around 3:30 a.m. stating there was a body found in the 1100 block of S. Sunflower Avenue, near the 210 Freeway, according to officials.

"Glendora officers responded and they confirmed there was a male Hispanic laying in the street who appears to have died from multiple gunshot wounds," to his upper torso, Lt. Steve Jauch of the LA Sheriff's Homicide Bureau said.

The identity and age of the victim were unknown.

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert closing nearby offramps until at least 11:30 a.m. No lanes were blocked.

"Where the incident occurred and where the victim is now is in close proximity to the Sunflower offramp. Obviously so we can protect our crime scene, it's important that we keep that offramp closed," Jauch said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were assisting Glendora police in the investigation.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything regarding the incident was asked to contact the LA Sheriff's Department.
