PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — A teacher has been arrested on suspicion of molesting a 17-year-old student with special needs at a Palmdale high school.

The student told school officials Monday that Alvidrez had assaulted him several times in September.

"The assaults took place inside a classroom at Highland High School and inside the teacher's vehicle," Sgt. Brian Hudson said.

Hudson added that Alvidrez was a long-term substitute teacher at the school and that the victim was enrolled in a special-needs program there.
