Man, 37, Located After Reported Missing From West Hills Hospital

WEST HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A 37-year-old male patient that was reported missing Saturday from the West Hills Hospital has been located.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department Topanga Division, Michael Nelson was located just after 12:00 p.m.

Around 8:30 a.m. the wife of Nelson discovered that her husband was not in his room located at 7300 Medical Center Drive, officers said.

Nelson was reportedly admitted to the hospital for treatment of liver and kidney disease and was diagnosed with pneumonia this morning.

Officers said they considered this a critical missing case, and are worked with the hospital to determine if there is surveillance video available.

Nelson was described as a white male with brown-greyish hair and mustache, and brown eyes. He is 6-foot-4 and weighs 190 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a blue and red Red Sox shirt, black sweatpants, blue socks and no shoes.
